In addition to the classroom music lessons, which your son receives as part of the curriculum, we also offer paid instrumental lessons on a number of instruments. We are pleased to announce that, because of the continued support of the Newham Music Grant, we are able to continue to subsidise these lessons.
We ask for TWO payments. One in September and the SECOND in Spring Half Term 1.
We can offer Piano, Brass, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drum lessons. There is the possibility of also offering Dhol and Tabla lessons. Lessons take place during lesson time and they are rotated so that students will not come out of lessons at the same time every week. KS4 and 5 students will have their lessons during break and lunchtime wherever possible.
Group lessons (A maximum of 3 students in a lesson ) cost £90 per half year for 15 lessons (£6 per Lesson), taking the student up to the Easter Holidays in April 2026. Solo lessons would cost £285 per half year for 15 lessons (£19 per Lesson). Each lesson is 30 minutes. There is the possibility of some subsidy for Pupil Premium students.
Payment can be made via Parent Pay and there is the option to specify that the payment is for music lessons. One thing I would bring to your attention is that the payment is non refundable AND if you wish to discontinue lessons for the second half of the year you notify me by the end of January. If you wish to discontinue lessons at the end of the year then you should notify me by the end of June.
If you would like to be added to lessons for one of the Instruments listed above then please contact me at n.bowers-broadbent@stbons.org with the following details:Â Â
- Full name of student
