FOOTBALLER

John was born in 1960 and had a very distinguished playing career.
He was born in Nigeria and named Okechuku Chiedozie, John being his Christian name.
He played for Leyton Orient and signed for a huge £600,000 in 1980 for Notts County which was in the top tier of English Football – then called The First Division.
He played for 111 games and scored 15 goals.
He then moved to Spurs in 1984.
He stayed with Spurs for 4 years and played 53 games, scoring 12 goals.
He suffered from some poor tackling at the time and had multiple injuries, eventually being replaced by Chris Waddle.
