Sports have always played an important role in the history and identity of St Bonaventure’s. For generations, the school has encouraged students to develop their talents both inside and outside the classroom, with a particularly proud tradition in football.

Over the years, a number of former St Bonaventure’s students have gone on to build successful careers in professional football, including players and managers who have competed at the highest levels of the game, from the Premier League and Championship to clubs and competitions across Europe.

As part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations, we are delighted to bring our community together through a special St Bonaventure’s 150th Anniversary 5-a-Side Football Tournament, taking place at the school in April.

The tournament will be open to:

• Alumni
• Members of staff

Teams will be competing to be crowned the St Bonaventure’s 150th Anniversary Champions, and also a St Bon’s staff team will also take part, adding a little friendly rivalry to the competition!

Registrations are now open. To enter the tournament, each team will need a minimum of six players, with a £100 deposit required to secure your place.

Whether you are a former student looking to pull the old team back together, a parent, a local footballer or simply someone who would like to be part of our anniversary celebrations, we would love to welcome you.

It promises to be a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some competitive football, reconnect with old friends and celebrate 150 years of St Bonaventure’s.
